COOLEY PENINSULA



This Saturday we went to Cooley Peninsula. It is about an hour north of here. On the way there we were excited because we were going to drive through Jenkinstown. We were hoping to find a sign and take a picture, since someone we love is named Jenkins. Unfortunately, they changed the name of the town to Lordship (go figure), so we didn't get any pictures.
At Cooley Peninsula is also the Cooley Mountains. The Peninsula is off of Dundalk Bay in the Irish Sea. The town there is called Carlingford. It is a charming little town by the sea shore. There is also King John's Castle in the town, at the mouth of the inlet. Here are some pictures we took. This first one is some thug I found on the beach. And did I mention it was FREEZING cold?
