ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE - DOWNTOWN DUBLIN

Imagine SO many people that as you try to walk down the street it seems as if the crowd isn't moving at all! You are taking teeny, tiny steps and you wonder if you will ever get where you want to go. People are literally smashed up against you on every side! YOU ARE AT THE ST. PADDY'S DAY PARADE IN DOWNTOWN DUBLIN! We were standing 5 deep from the front row of spectators and had about 3 or 4 more deep behind us. At one point, I was leaning up against my husband because my feet hurt so bad, I had people smashed up against me on every side and all of a sudden I realized that the lady next to me wasn't just smashed up against me, she was LEANING on me! There were people in trees, on signposts, on top of phone booths, in windows. Some people actually brought step ladders so they could climb up on them. Finally after my personal space had been more than abused, I told my husband I was going to stand over by the Quizno's. As it turned out I was able to go in the Quizno's and sit down and drink a diet coke. The last two pictures are at an amusement park set up just for the festival. Look real close and you can see the head gear I bought to wear for the day. Here are a FEW of the 105 pictures we took:
