THE FASHION MODE OF THE DAY

I found out that the best hair-do for slogging through the mud and standing for an hour in the rain is to pull your hair back in a pony-tail, put on a ball cap and go. Although when the wind started blowing really hard and the rain was pouring down, I had to put a scarf over my cap. Knit gloves and rain do not mix. :0+ I wore this fleece jacket with another raincoat over it and Gore-Tex tennis shoes (waterproof). I had to change shoes to get back into the car because they were covered in mud, as were the back of the legs of my pants. After we went back to our motel and changed our pants and got dry shoes and socks, we went back to the Race park. (The muddy part was out in the country where they were running the different stages of the race.) This is a picture of yours truly standing by our rent car, which I swear my husband thought was his own personal race car. :0) It's a Vauxhall, for those who are wondering.
