If you will be traveling by airplane in the near future, here's a warning: Don't talk back to, or be rude to the flight attendants. I'm not kidding about this either.
My husband recently flew to the US for the Christmas holidays. I had flown over a couple of weeks before him. He was privileged to get an upgrade to first class. There was a woman in first class who was arguing with the flight attendant about something. He didn't hear what they were arguing about (international first class is quite a bit larger area than normal flights). He could tell that the flight attendant was getting pretty fed up with this particular woman. Finally he saw the flight attendant make the woman get up and she took her back into the coach section. Pretty soon the flight attendant came back with a young man, who flew the rest of the way first class.
I have another friend who flew to the US for the Christmas holidays. Her husband works for the same company as my husband. A few seats back from her was another man who also works for this company and he was also going home for the Christmas holidays. During the flight a French flight attendant told this man to put his seat up, as it was reclined. He told her that he had tried to put it up but couldn't do it. She told him again to put his seat up. He tried to explain to her that he had been trying to put it up but he couldn't do it and thought the seat might be broken. The flight attendant got very angry with this man and told him to get up and follow her. She told him to sit in the seat beside my friend. My friend started to tell her that the seat was taken, that a young man had been sitting in that seat, but he had gone back to talk to his friend at the back of the plane for a minute. The flight attendant got angry with her and told her not to argue with her or she would throw her off of the flight. Both the man (from the broken seat) and my friend sat in near silence the rest of the trip. They didn't dare say, nor even look sideways at any of the flight attendants.
Fliers beware! :0+
