Queen Victoria was the first royal monarch to live in Buckingham Palace when it was finished in 1837.
The guards do this walking thing every few minutes, but this is not the "changing of the guards". That was taking place later that morning, but we didn't have time to wait for it. Buckingham Palace is open to the public during August and September of every year, but that is all.
