I got back to Ireland today. My husband said it's been quite warm here. Quite warm is only like 68 degrees. But when you don't have air conditioning, it does make it "warmer". None of the houses here have air conditioning so you have to open your windows. Problem is, none of the windows have screens. The house we are renting is a brand new house, in fact we had to wait until it was done before we could move in. Since none of the windows have screens, when we got home from the airport this morning, I noticed a huge bumblebee climbing on the curtains. My husband, my hero, got a broom and knocked him down and swept him outside. I have noticed that even some businesses don't have air conditioning. I guess for the most part they don't need it, but I am wondering what the rest of July and August will bring? I hear that England is having quite a heat wave. It's in the 80's there and people don't even want to go outside. :o) Thank goodness it has been rainy on and off today, so that brings a cool breeze, and with the windows open it quite nice. A little humid, but cool.
I was thinking about things you probably can't buy in Ireland:
1) Sprinklers
2) Humidifiers
3) Obviously, screens for your house windows :0)
You might think you can't buy sunscreen here, but you can. :0)
