WRC - FORD FOCUS SHOW

The first day we went to the Rally, we went to the Ford Focus Show. We found out later that they did this show every day. It was a stunt driver for Ford and he was absolutely amazing! I couldn't believe some of the stuff he did. The most amazing thing he did was to parallel park at high speed. That doesn't mean backwards either. I mean he came forward towards the space at a high speed, slammed on the brakes, did a 180 turn and slid the car into the space! I'm not kidding! Of course he started out with a big space, but then he kept making the other guy move the car up more and more. Finally I thought, "Hey, I'll bet that while we're watching him slide that car in, the other guy is moving the car backwards so it will fit." He had one parked car in front, the the back car had a guy in it that would move it closer every time. Well finally the 2nd guy moved it so close I thought there was no way he would be able to get it in. Then the 2nd guy got out of the 2nd car and said he was too scared and wasn't going to stay in the car. (I later found out by watching a 2nd show that it was all part of the show, but still....) I almost didn't even want to watch, but sure enough, he got it in with just mico-inches to spare! He was quite the driver! If you registered at the Ford booth, you got to put your name in a box to be drawn out, and if so you got to ride in the black car at the next show when it drove it on 2 wheels on one side! There were so many people watching we really couldn't get a great picture of him parallel parking the cars, so sorry.
